It's Saturday night and I have just sat down with a beer. The Giro is on, but it's a boring stage still in Bulgaria. Nothing much is likely to happen until the last half hour, which I'm unlikely to stay up for.
Another chill day today. I had a strange dream, which I won't describe here, so woke up in an odd mood. The weather was drizzly but not excessively cold, so I put on the shoes and took the dog out for a walk. "Dog" because only one was left, Temma had left a bit earlier with Gypsy to go for a run. I think Bandit enjoyed being the only dog again for a change, and lots of scritches from the girl at the coffee shop. But also got very wet. I dropped the dog back home and went to the gym* to soak in the sauna and spa and steam room for a couple of hours. Very relaxing.
Home, lunch, nap, breakfast. I finally heard back from Deryk about the hire for [[Witness for the Prosecution]] and he's doing it as a one week rental, even though it's nearly two, so well within budget. My remaining problem is deciding what sort of stands to use, given the constrained space. I think it's going to have to be push-ups (with tripod bases) which will be challenging to fit.
And then it was Dal's basketball game, his first one with the new Eltham team. It was a funny game. Slow start for us, but we ended up winning by over 20 points. Dal played well, got a couple of goals and plenty of assists. He's by far the tallest so probably needs to adjust how he plays a bit, to make use of that. And learn to dunk!!
I made a ham, cheese, and tomato toastie for dinner. Classic Saturday night. Dal had fries from McDonalds and will probably make toast later, as is his habit. There a few bananas left over from last week that were too far gone to eat so I've just whipped up some banana bread. Looking forward to having that for Giro Dessert, if I make it that far.
Tomorrow promises to be significantly more taxing, with bump out first thing in the morning then a Siren gig. I'll probably skip the _Witness_ rehearsal because it won't be worth it by the time I get there. Maybe I'll get out with the camera again or something.
