Apparently expecting myself to do this when I get home from a show at 11 pm is unrealistic and I should give up trying. So, here we are, Thursday morning.
Yesterday was fairly uneventful anyway. Walked the dogs, broke my fast, pottered about, then went to the gym (aka sauna and spa) via Bunnings to get some glow tape and some LED puck lights to pop in dark staircases so actors don't trip and break their legs. (Yes it's only an expression.)
Home for lunch and a rest and then I spent a couple of hours merging all the cues in QLab and making sure everything ran ok. Then off to the theatre. The rehearsal went well, only a few small glitches and timing issues, which wasn't bad for the first (and only) real dress rehearsal. Opening night tonight!
I did try to watch a bit of cycling when I got home, but was pretty zonked and only lasted half an hour.
Today I plan to rest. I've been feeling pretty crap, almost fevery and mild headache, and very very tired despite not doing much. Which Temma has also had, so I guess it's something going around. Hopefully taking it easy will sort it. I have nothing much I have to do for the next two days besides the show in the evenings, so there's that at least.
Oh, there is one thing: blend the tea. I'm going to magically turn our two kilograms of English Breakfast into our preferred Irish Breakfast. Amazing.
